She began studying homeopathy in 1970 at Nehru Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Delhi,and her journey as a homeopathic physician began in 1975.
In her early stints, Dr. Gupta served as AMO (Child & female diseases), Delhi Administration. Later, she was a Consulting Homeopathic Physician on panel with National Airports Authority.
In recognition of meritorious services rendered by her for the cause of homeopathy, she was awarded the Hahnemann Award 2006, by the Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine Delhi.
